Dramaturgy and script reading
Alongside my own writing, I regularly support fellow writers in developing their scripts. As a script reader and dramaturg, my focus is on providing kind and constructive feedback through asking questions about a piece and the writer’s goals, sharing thoughts and observations, and coming up with ideas collaboratively.
If you’re looking for script feedback or more long term support with your play, I’d be happy to help! Click the link below to find out more.
Creative facilitation
I facilitate writing workshops, both for young people and for adults. Recent workshops have included a ‘Developing your playwriting through structure’ series with my collective Rebellious Head at Theatre Deli. I was also the Assistant Facilitator on the Roundhouse’s Creative Writing for Spoken Word and Theatre half-term project for 11 to 14 year olds.
Photography
As a photographer I have over 5 years’ experience shooting gigs in Leeds and the surrounding areas, and more recently in London. I’ve photographed bands and artists such as ELIZA, Jade Bird, Yonaka, Calva Louise, Big Joanie, Sunflower Bean, and Sophie and the Giants.
Substack
I write about playwriting and dramaturgy over on my Substack. It’s called this is nice — check it out here:
English tuition
I’m also an English tutor, with 4 years experience teaching one-to-one lessons. I now tutor with PMT Education and am available to take on new GCSE English Language and/or Literature students in Years 10 and 11 throughout the year.
