Lava Light
“We all used to be lava. Billions of years ago, the whole planet was molten rock. We all came from that.”
Anjli is doing well. She’s got a new job working for the government and a flat in the city centre. Tonight, she’s spending a rare evening off with Eva on their old school playing field, hoping to catch the Leonid meteor shower. But the unexpected arrival of her estranged brother sends her world spinning.

Phosphorus
“If you set the gorse alight, it might take the orchid out with it, but it’ll clear the way for all the others that haven’t even begun to grow.”
1913. Women cannot vote. The government has just gone back on its word – again. Fires are starting across Britain.
Suffragette Edith has a dangerously flammable substance and a plan to commit arson in the name of the cause. As the two women she loves most try to talk her down, a cramped drawing room becomes a pressure cooker of radical politics and everyday responsibilities that asks: what drives ordinary people to violent protest?
Phosphorus catches fire as soon as it’s exposed to the air – shall we pull the stopper?
