I’m a playwright and dramaturg of mixed Irish, English and Sri Lankan descent working in Devon and London. My work has been shortlisted for The Bread & Roses Playwriting Award 2024 and longlisted for The Peter Shaffer Postgraduate Award for Playwriting. Currently, I’m a Paines Plough Mentored Writer as part of Tour the Writer, a member of Beyond Face’s We Are Here To Write programme, and a recent alumnus of Omnibus Theatre’s Omni-Wright programme.

Dramaturgy and script reading
Alongside my own writing, I regularly support fellow writers in developing their scripts. As a dramaturg, my focus is on providing kind and constructive feedback through asking questions about a piece and the writer’s goals, sharing thoughts and observations, and coming up with ideas collaboratively.
If you’re looking for script feedback or more long term support with your play, I’d be happy to help!
Facilitation
I facilitate playwriting and play reading workshops for both young people and adults. Recently this has included a play reading class on Mountview’s CertHE Musical Theatre course in Exeter, and a ‘Developing your playwriting through structure’ workshop series with my collective Rebellious Head at Theatre Deli. I was also the Assistant Facilitator on the Roundhouse’s Creative Writing for Spoken Word and Theatre half-term project for 11 to 14 year olds.
Photography
As a photographer I have over 5 years’ experience shooting gigs in Leeds and the surrounding areas, and more recently in London. I’ve photographed bands and artists such as Jade Bird, Yonaka, Calva Louise, Big Joanie, Sunflower Bean, Sophie and the Giants and ELIZA.
Substack
I write about playwriting and dramaturgy over on my Substack. It’s called this is nice — check it out here:
